California DMV State Approved Course

The Hit the Road online drivers ed program fulfills the 30-hour driver education classroom requirement for the State of California. Upon completion of Hit the Road, you will be issued a certificate of completion (DL400c). Just present your certificate at an in-car drivers training school to get a certificate of enrollment. With these two documents, you can schedule your permit test at your local DMV branch office.
